Become an IFZC Mentor
Support the Next Generation of Integrative Foot Zoners
Our IFZC mentors play an invaluable role in creating a supportive, encouraging, and connected experience for students throughout the Integrative Foot Zoning Certification program.
As a graduate of IFZC, you know firsthand what it feels like to move through the certification process, learn new skills, practice techniques, complete homework, and grow in confidence.
The mentor program gives you an opportunity to come back and support current students as they move through that same journey.
Mentors serve as guides, encouragers, and community builders—helping students stay connected, accountable, and supported throughout the certification.
Who Can Apply?
The IFZC Mentor Program is open to graduates of the Integrative Foot Zoning Certification program.
We are looking for mentors who are:
- Encouraging, dependable, and supportive
- Comfortable communicating with students regularly
- Willing to stay engaged throughout the certification program
- Excited to help students feel connected to the IFZC community
- Able to guide students while allowing Amber and the instructional team to handle grading, assessments, and certification decisions
What Does an IFZC Mentor Do?
Support Your Student Pod
Each mentor will be assigned a small group of students to support throughout the program.
Mentors are expected to:
- Check in with their students at least once per month by email, text, or another communication method that works well for the group
- Encourage participation, practice, and accountability
- Answer general questions when appropriate
- Celebrate student successes and milestones
- Alert the IFZC team if a student appears to be struggling, disengaged, or in need of additional support
The goal is not to have all the answers. Your role is to help students feel like they have someone in their corner throughout the certification.
Engage in the IFZC Community
This year's student community will take place inside Kajabi Community.
Mentors should plan to check in and engage in the community at least once per week.
This may include:
- Answering student questions when appropriate
- Sharing encouragement or personal experiences
- Celebrating student wins
- Participating in conversations
- Helping create a welcoming, positive learning environment
Mentors are also encouraged to share one helpful educational resource each month inside the Kajabi Community. This could be an article, research paper, book recommendation, podcast, educational resource, or another tool that would benefit students.
Study Groups & Office Hours
One of the most valuable ways mentors can support students is by giving them additional opportunities to practice, ask questions, and connect.
Mentors may choose the format that works best for their schedule.
Option 1: Host Study Groups
Mentors choosing this option agree to:
- Host at least two virtual Zoom study groups during the certification program
- Choose dates and times that work for their schedule
- Partner with another mentor and co-host if desired
Option 2: Participate in Office Hours
Mentors may instead choose to participate in office hours hosted by Team ABH, where students can drop in, ask questions, and connect.
If you choose the office-hours option, we ask that you also host at least one dedicated study group during the certification program.
Live Classes Are Optional
Live Module classes are held on Saturdays from 1:00–2:30 PM Pacific Time, although classes may occasionally run longer.
Mentors are always welcome to attend, but live-class attendance is completely optional.
There is no expectation that mentors attend every class.
If you do join a live class, your role is to support Amber and the students. Student questions take priority, and mentors should save personal training questions for another time.
Class recordings will generally be uploaded within approximately 48 hours for anyone who would like to review them.
Optional Homework Support
We are also looking for a few mentors who would enjoy volunteering to help with homework support throughout the certification.
Homework support may include:
- Reviewing assignments for completeness and accuracy
- Providing encouraging feedback
- Helping students understand corrections
- Supporting the instructional team as needed
You can indicate on your application if you are interested in volunteering for this role.
Homework support is optional and is not required of every mentor.
Be a Guide, Not a Grader
Mentors are here to encourage, support, and guide.
Final grading, practical assessments, exams, and certification decisions remain the responsibility of Amber Bodily Health and the IFZC instructional team.
If a student asks a question you aren't sure how to answer, you are never expected to guess. You can simply help direct them to the appropriate IFZC team member or resource.
Keep the Mentor Relationship Student-Focused
The mentor role is designed to support students in their IFZC learning experience. Mentors may not use their role or access to the student community to solicit clients, promote their own products or services, share affiliate links or discount codes for personal financial gain, or privately recruit IFZC students into outside programs or offers.
We absolutely celebrate the businesses our graduates are building—we simply want the mentor/student relationship to remain centered on education, encouragement, and support.
Why Become an IFZC Mentor?
Mentoring isn’t only about giving back—it’s also an opportunity to deepen your own skills as an Integrative Foot Zoner.
Supporting students, answering questions, and helping others work through the material can strengthen your own understanding and reinforce what you learned during certification.
As a mentor, you’ll also have opportunities to:
- Stay connected to the IFZC community
- Refresh and deepen your understanding of the material
- Build confidence by helping others learn
- Continue growing alongside other experienced Foot Zoners
- Participate in mentor-specific connection or training opportunities with Amber.
- *Amber will host mentor calls — 30 minutes, every 2 months, covering two modules at a time
The Commitment
Students rely on their mentors for consistency and support, so we ask applicants to thoughtfully consider whether they can commit to the mentor role for the duration of the certification program.
By becoming a mentor, you are agreeing to:
- Stay engaged throughout the certification
- Communicate consistently with your assigned students
- Participate in the Kajabi Community at least once per week
- Participate in study groups and/or office hours as outlined above
- Communicate with the IFZC team if your availability changes
- Let us know when a student may need additional support
We completely understand that life circumstances can change. We simply ask that mentors communicate with the IFZC team as soon as possible so that students can continue receiving consistent support.
